Theatrus T80S Slim On-Wall Speaker | 3-Way Dual 8" Cinema / Studio Monitor The T80S Slim On-Wall Speaker and T65S Slim On-Wall Speaker are two great speakers designed for creating a surround sound experience. They share the same advanced technology and speaker setup as other models, but they are designed to be as slim as possible. This makes them perfect for mounting on walls or installing in built-in spaces. Don’t overlook these slim models though; they also perform exceptionally well as front and center speakers in your sound system. The T80S Slim On-Wall Speaker has a 3-Way design, featuring an array of five (5) drivers, which fuses into a super force of sound quality that is designed for home theaters enthusiasts. It's not all about sound though, the speaker has a clean and smooth appearance. The Aperion crafted AMT Ribbon Tweeter, and Dual 2-inch Soft-Dome Mid-Range Drivers are housed in a custom designed aluminum faceplate. Enhanced low end is produced by the Dual 8" Woofers which were crafted from German Propex Fabrics Curv material. The T80S Slim On-Wall Speaker offers higher sound pressure levels, suitable for larger listening environments. High-Efficiency plus High-Power makes for an explosively wide sound field. Theatrus speakers are extremely flexible for placement for even the most difficult of rooms. Placed On-wall, In-Wall, on the ground or on the ceiling, the Theatrus line can effectively cover most of the listening area. The speakers can be arranged vertically or horizontally, dependent on the application. Along with the integrated mounting inserts are two frequency tuning switch options on the rear of the speaker for even greater placement flexibility. To ensure the tweeter's safety while operating at higher sound pressure levels, we have included a protection circuit. Dual 2" Soft-dome Midrange Driver Our high end soft-dome midrange unit features a large, low distortion 50mm voice coil, which exceeds the normal size of this type of drive unit. It's wide pole structure and special damping coating significantly reduce the medium frequency segmentation vibration. Dual 8" Curv Woofers The Theatrus line features a new Curv material from Germany Propex Fabrics. The properties of this new Curv material are lightweight, yet rigid and stiff, maintain a high temperature resistance without any water absorption, and the most important in crating a driver unit - this material has a high Young's Modulus and internal damping. Advanced Crossover Time-intensive iterative designing and fine-tuning of the crossover networks have resulted in a smoother, more neutral, and better-balanced frequency response across the whole range. Enhanced phase integration between the tweeter and midrange drivers has also resulted in a cleaner, more open sound in the transition regions. The speakers of Theatrus Cinema Studio are crafted using high-quality custom components. These include Aperion's premium metallized polypropylene capacitors, copper wire inductors, and precision wirewound resistors. Together, these components create an exceptional audio experience that combines both beauty and enjoyment.
